Melody Ellenberger
Workshop Creator/Facilitator
Melody was born in
Southeast Colorado and educated at Front Range Community College and Colorado
State University. Her experience in
working with singles began in the summer of 1995 when she founded the nonprofit
Longmont Area Singles group. In
1998, Melody recognized the need for interactive dating preparation and
educational opportunities and founded SinglesWorkshops.com and the Letting Go
and Creating Lasting Love workshops. Over
the past 10 years, these workshops have been held in churches, colleges and
private homes in Colorado and Texas. Hundreds
of people have been helped through these teachings that are based on spiritual
relationship principles.
Melody is the author of
several articles that are in the process of being compiled into book form.
She is also a popular speaker for various singles, social and personal
growth groups.
Melody’s philosophy is that a greater amount of personal growth happens in an intimate relationship. She believes it is an exciting experience where you learn that real love is about the challenge of maintaining your own identity and meeting your own needs, as well as making the necessary self-sacrifices to meet your partner's needs. Letting go of the barriers that keep a person in the self-focused singles' world is necessary before he/she can transition to the privilege of sharing life's burdens and joys in the interdependent couples' world.
Melody is dedicating her life to providing singles an effective venue for preparing themselves for healthy, loving relationships that last. Relationships do not have to end in divorce if they BEGIN with interactive, preparatory experiences that increase social skills and confidence, and the knowledge to make better choices."Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves.
